Owensboro Pet Sitting Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, copies of our insurance will be given to each customer at the Initial Consultation/Meet & Greet.
Q. My pet has a history of being aggressive. Will you accept him/her as a client?
Yes, they have to pass a criminal background check yearly and random drug testing. I also make sure they have plenty
of references and will gladly have some available upon request. I do not just hire anyone--I make sure they are what
they say. My sitters are going into your house and taking care of your animals. They have to be the best at what they
do. All of our sitters are animal lovers and you will notice this at your meet and greet.
Please contact the office and we will find a solution. We aim to please and want to satisfy all of our customers.
Our visits last 30 minutes, with the exception of overnight stays. During the initial consultation visit, you take us through
your pet's routine and we customize our visit to your pet's individual needs.
Yes, we can bring in the mail, water indoor and outdoor plants, check on the plumbing, take the trash out, pool care, such
as adding chlorine, and handling other minor household tasks upon request.
No, we believe in in-home care. Overnight stays at your home are available.
Most of the time you will only have one pet sitter, but sometimes you will have two. Pet sitting is a demanding job and we
start early in the morning and don't stop until late at night. To keep from burning out our pet sitters, we have shifts with
sitters that work morning and afternoon, sitters that work afternoon and evening, and sitters that work weekends.
Sometimes two pet sitters will go to a visit and split the stops. This keeps our pet sitters sharp and prevents fatique. They
are not working 15 hour days like most pet sitters and will be fresh and awake for your visit. Having two sitters also
provides more socialization for your pet.
Yes, you will be assigned one primary pet sitter, however, there could be times when that person may not be available.
If that happens, you will be notified and we will provide you with another equally-qualified pet sitter. Also, if you had a
meeting with two pet sitters you might have the option of choosing just one or having both again.
Services requested less than 6 hours from the time of service will have an added surcharge of $2.00 for short notice.
This can be subject to change upon owner's discretion.
Please tell us as soon as you know. If you cancel within 4 hours of your visit, a $10.00 fee for last minute cancellation will
apply. Please keep in mind that spots are filled and when you cancel with short notice it prevents us from filling that time
spot for others. We appreciate all cancellations early. All reasonable exceptions (cancellation fees waived or adjusted)
will be determined by the company owner only.
Yes, we can give medication as well as insulin injections. We can accommodate most animals with special needs.
We would prefer to have a key to your home in the case of a power failure or electrical issue so that we can gain access
to your animals. A key is locked in our office and a copy is kept with the primary pet sitter.
We don't take any pets that are aggressive. This includes aggressive barking at the door when the pet sitter comes in,
food aggression, crate/cage aggression and aggressive play/growling. We want to keep your pet and our pet sitters safe,
so please do not hide these facts from us. If we go to your house and your pet exhibits any of these behaviors, we reserve
the right to discontinue service and leave. You will still be charged for the visit. If for any reason your dog bites/attacks our
pet sitter, you are responsible for any medical needs or expenses due to the injury.
Yes, through our secure online scheduling system. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Yes, we do have an online scheduling system. This system allows you to schedule appointments and edit your information
